Abstract
¡¡¡¡Mold is the main technological equipment of industrial production and also the basic industry of the national economy. Industrial development demands higher quality of the mold forming. The traditional mold design ways based on experience,repeated mold testing, mold repair cannot meet the current requirements of current mold design. CAD/CAE technology can efficiently complete mold design. Simulation analysis of mold flow analysis software can predict potential pitfalls of mold, re-design the mold structure, optimize the process parameters, reduce the tryout times and improve production efficiency.
¡¡¡¡As for the unreasonable mold structure design of expansion tank for the car in the actual production and the after molding defects such as warpage problem, this paper shows systematic design and calculation to products mold structure along with injection mold design theory, uses CAE technology for simulation analysis of injection molding process, optimizes the design of mold structure, obtains a reasonable structure and solves defects in products. Finally, the overall mold modeling is completed by CAD (computer aided design) technology. The main work of this paper is as follows,1.Through access to a large number of relevant literature materials, this paper describes the research background of this design and also the development status and future trends of mold CAE technology.
¡¡¡¡2.Through experience and theoretical formula, this paper completes the preliminary design to the main structure of the mold according to mold design process and principles, determines the size of the mold, flow channel diameter, the size of the cooling water and prepares for the next CAE mold flow analysis and UG modeling.
¡¡¡¡3.This paper introduces relevant basic theory of Moldflow injection molding process, determines the best feed entrance point of sprue in products by Moldflow best feed entrance point analysis and prepares for the next runner system optimization.
¡¡¡¡4.Make simulation analysis to the preliminary designed gating system by Moldflow fill analysis module. Based on the analysis results, re-design the size of runner and get the balanced runner system.
¡¡¡¡5.Make simulation analysis to the preliminary designed cooling module by Moldflow cooling analysis module. Based on the analysis results, re-design the cooling system and make products achieve uniform cooling. By optimizing the cooling time, shorten the molding cycle and improve production efficiency.
¡¡¡¡6.Make simulation analysis to warpage after products molding by Moldflow warpage analysis module and find the main cause of warpage. By adjusting the process parameters, reduce the warpage deformation value of products.
¡¡¡¡7.By geometric modeling function of UG and mold CAD design process, apply software modeling command flexibly and complete the overall structure design of the mold.
